Mike Appleby, SRI analyst, Alliance Trust What are the issues surrounding ESG investing at the moment? There is still confusion about what ESG is and how it is done. It is becoming more important for managers to be transparent on issues of concern. Transparency on what is driving investment decisions and certain themes the fund is investing in, for example, climate change, is key.
