Schroders' latest hires, Philip Matthews and Alex Breese, talk to Alasdair Pal about the changes they have made to their newly-inherited funds.
Richard Buxton’s decision to quit Schroders was one of the biggest stories in fund management last year. The manager joined Old Mutual Global Investors in June with colleague Errol Francis, generating a frenzy of interest from investors, which saw Old Mutual gather over £1bn of net flows in just six months. Schroders’ choice of replacement, however, has generated fewer headlines.
