AXA IM's Peirson: Asset allocation is a zero sum game

Richard Peirson has run the £580m AXA Framlington Managed Balanced fund for 20 years this month, and has produced top-quartile returns over that timeframe.

His track record over other time periods is also impressive: over the five years to 21 February, the fund has returned 103% compared with an IMA Mixed Investment 40-85% shares sector average of 77.1%, according to Morningstar. The portfolio is also top quartile over one and three years.
