Emerging markets have had a difficult time of late, severely underperforming developed markets in light of slowing GDP growth and worries over valuations and tapering in the US. The long-term case for investing in fast-growing regions such as China and Brazil remains intact however, and, for those with a long-term time horizon, funds that focus on emerging markets remain very much on our radar.
