The UK’s savings landscape continues to change apace, with the annuity market overhaul poised to spark increasing demand for flexibility from retirees. Presenting challenges for insurers, it nonetheless opens door for other groups to offer alternative products to existing pensions, and is the “number one” priority for Natixis, a relative newcomer to the UK. It is tough for any group to make a name for itself in the UK, given the huge amount of competition in the market.
