Neptune's Japan Opportunities manager Chris Taylor has warned of the dire position the country will find itself in if Abenomics fails to stimulate the economy.

Abenomics has become a mantra when investing in Japan, but Neptune Japan Opportunities lead manager Taylor argues the shift is more profound than one sparky politician. Instead, it represents a multi-year government battle to rescue the country from bankruptcy. Policymakers are reliant on taxing corporate profits to plug the gap, and the best way to do this is to force down the yen and help Japan's multinationals - which he argues stand out for their global footprint compared to Western firms.
