Legal & General Investment Management EMEA retail distribution head Honor Solomon tells Laura Dew why active funds remain a key part of the business as it bids to become the 'black belt' of asset managers.

Although Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) is the UK's largest provider of index funds, it is keen to prove to investors it has not forgotten its capabilities in the active management space. The company has £709bn in total assets under management, of which some £300bn is held in index funds, where the firm has a strong track record.
