Many asset managers can only dream about attracting a fund manager with the profile of Bill Gross. For Janus Capital, this fantasy became a reality last year when the world's most famous bond investor made the move from rival PIMCO. Gross said he had chosen Janus as his new home because of his "long standing relationship with, and respect for, CEO Dick Weil" (who previously worked with him at PIMCO), as well as his desire to get back to "spending the bulk of my day managing client assets".
