Nicolas Walewski, managing director of Alken Asset Management, explains why he does not anticipate a commodity price rebound for many years, but does believe in an uplift for technology spending.

Alken Asset Management appears to be in a sweet spot as UK investors continue to pour money into European strategies. Founded in 2005 by experienced European investor Nicolas Walewski, the group is solely focused on investing in the region. Its 10-strong investment team runs €10bn across the range, including the €5.5bn European Opportunities and €2.8bn Absolute Return Europe funds.
