Paul Boughton has always been attracted to the challenge of building up asset management businesses during a career which began nearly three decades ago. He is one of the most well-known figures in the industry, after working at Schroders for a decade from the late 1980s, followed by six years as managing director (Europe) at Legg Mason Investments, where he oversaw major changes to the group's distribution model in the region.
