As Unicorn Asset Management's Outstanding British Companies fund nears its tenth anniversary, manager Chris Hutchinson explains why he has waited so long to promote the fund, how he identifies great businesses, and what could be the impact of Brexit.
With Chris Hutchinson at its helm since launch in December 2006, the £36m Outstanding British Companies fund (OBC) has returned 183% over the period, significantly outperforming both its IA UK All Companies sector average and FTSE All Share benchmark, up 66% and 70% respectively, according to FE (see chart, below).
