After three years as a stockbroker, David Park explains how he made the move to asset management and became co-manager of the €1.3bn Carmignac Emergents and €388m Carmignac Portfolio Emerging Discovery funds.
Despite a successful career as a stockbroker covering Korean companies for European institutional investors at Hyundai Securities, when David Park, 37, was asked by one of his own clients to consider a career as an analyst at their firm, he jumped at the chance.
