Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) managers Martin Cholwill and Richard Marwood have identified some of the sweet spots for investors looking for equity income opportunities in an 'anaemic' growth environment.
Talking to Investment Week editorial director Lawrence Gosling as part of a new series of video interviews with the group's investment team, Cholwill said: "If you go back to pre-2008, growth was widely available. It was also quite easy to find dividend yield. "But fast forward to today and there are a lack of alternatives outside of equities. Money in the bank isn't paying a return and bond yields are very low. So I think that is why there is a lot of interest in equity income as a category."
