Rather than rushing into equities or bonds when deciding on a specialism, Solomon Nevins, senior fund manager at Architas in charge of alternatives research, urges his younger contemporaries to fully consider all areas of the market.
After carrying out quantitative research into a wide variety of asset classes during his time as an analyst, Nevins, now 30, ultimately decided to focus on alternative assets because they offered a combination of career opportunity and relatively consistent performance, he said.
