BlackRock's Ben Edwards, manager of the £564m Corporate Bond fund and co-manager of the £48m Sterling Strategic bond fund, tells Jayna Rana which 'stars need to align' before the Bank of England can embark on a proper rate rise cycle and whether the 35-year bond bull market has much further to run.
After six years as a fund manager at Legal & General, Ben Edwards moved to BlackRock in 2010, joining the sterling bond portfolio team within the global fixed income part of the business. He assumed full responsibility for the Corporate Bond fund just two years later. The fund has been in the top quartile of the IA Sterling Corporate Bond sector over one, three and five years to 2 November, according to FE.
