Ben Rogoff, lead manager of the Polar Capital Technology Trust, talks artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomous vehicles, FANGs and being lucky with Square Mile's Richard Romer-Lee.

How did you get into fund management? I started in the industry as an intern at stockbroker Shore Capital, where I worked for two weeks before two effervescent gentlemen persuaded me to join Dean Witter. I wanted a job where I could have a different day every day - and it appealed as I am a big fan of learning. In fact, found myself on the Tube this morning poring through research emails thinking it is funny that, 20 years on, I am still doing the same stuff - looking for nuggets of information; something that allows you to build a thesis that others have not formed yet.
