Newton is to change its name from Absolute Intrepid fund to Newton Real Return fund, effective from 30 June. The group says it is to better reflect the investment objective of achieving real rates of return in sterling terms, largely from investing in UK and international securities. The fund's investment strategy and team will remain intact. Launched in 2004, the fund takes advantage of Newton's global thematic framework, allowing investors to achieve long-term positive returns through a multi-asset portfolio that is unconstrained by a peer group benchmark or index composition.
