JPMorgan is adding a hedged sterling share class to its €3bn Highbridge Statistical Market Neutral fund as it seeks ground in the absolute return space. The Sicav already has an institutional sterling class and an unhedged version, and the hedged shares are designed to protect investors from increasingly volatile currency movements. JPMorgan said the unhedged version has already seen a near 20% uplift this year, but is subject to high volatility.
