Aviva Morley and Gam are the latest groups to play the emerging markets story with respective launches investing in small caps and Chinese equities. Aviva’s Emerging Market Equity Small Cap fund soft launched this week, seeded with £150m. The Luxembourg-domiciled fund is run by Alex Ingham, who has managed US equity products for Morley since joining from Aberdeen in 2004. It has UK distributor status and a sterling share class, although the base currency is dollars. The group said it plans to market the fund in the UK later in the year.
