UK Equity Income funds proved to be the top selling vehicles on the FundsNetwork last year. The sector beat specialist as the most popular choice after the latter was hit by redemptions from property funds. The Cautious Managed sector was the third biggest seller, rising a place from the previous year. Head of FundsNetwork Rob Fisher said he believes there will be a general trend towards more cautious income and cash funds. “IFAs and investors continue to look for safer havens for their investments given current stockmarket weakness,” he said.
