New Star has given Charles Deptford the task of reviving performance on its Equity Income fund. He replaces Stephen Whittaker on the vehicle, which is 76th out of 77 peers over three years and 67th out of 68 over five. New Star Equity Income reports -14% growth over three years versus the sector average 5.7% as at 21 July, according to Morningstar. The group said this will allow Whittaker to focus on managing New Star UK Growth, which is 271st out of 274 peers over three years.
