New Star has poached Barings’ UK income specialist Charles Deptford and UK mid cap manager Trevor Green from Allianz to help turn around fund performance. This latest move follows the appointment of former BDT Invest manager, David Cornell at the end of last month. Cornell, a specialist on Africa and Middle East, has handed his BDT Asian ex-Japan portfolio to co-managers Rob Brewis, Simon Dobson and Henry Thornton.
