Gam is planning to launch a long / short global equity fund for latest hire Mark Hawtin. Gam Eclectic will aim to deliver an absolute return regardless of market conditions, with a low correlation to equity markets and low volatility. Investment director Hawtin will look to exploit discrepancies between the market value and the intrinsic value of various companies and themes. He will also look for businesses positioned to benefit from change or innovation.
