Standard Life has placed a £300m cap on its UK Equity Unconstrained fund managed by Wesley McCoy. The fund currently has £236m assets under management. McCoy’s fund has seen top decile performance since its launch in late 2005 and for the single year to 11 June, the vehicle has returned 43.3% bid to bid, ranking it second in the UK All Companies sector for the period. Jacquie Kerr, head of mutual funds at SLI, said if the fund reaches its limit, the firm will no longer sell the fund to platforms at NAV.
