Equities are likely to fare better than bonds in the coming months despite inflation posing a threat to global stock markets, research from Barclays Wealth has claimed. The group said rising inflation is already reflected in equity valuations and some sectors of the UK and European markets seem better able to cope with higher input prices than others. During the first half of the last quarter, it seemed as if markets had regained some of their lost confidence as the MSCI World index rose 10%.
