Pension funds reached yet another all-time high weighting in overseas equities in the first quarter of 2007, with the average manager now holding 37.6% in this asset class. According to the latest quarterly figures from Mellon Analytical Solutions, balanced pooled funds also posted their third consecutive quarter of positive returns, with median growth of 2.3%. The median return over 12 months to 31 March was 6.0%, a real return of 1.2% against retail price inflation.
