Fund managers from Cazenove, Rensburg and Resolution are among the investors caught out in the Marks & Spencer’s sell-off. Artemis’s Adrian Paterson is also a long-term supporter of the retailer, which saw nearly 20% wiped off its share price today. M&S reported its worst quarterly performance in two years this morning and warned the pain for retailers could extend into 2009.
