Eclectica is set to launch an agriculture futures fund to further capitalise on the commodities bull market. The Eclectica Agriculture Futures fund, launching in June, will be long-only and will be co-managed by Hugh Hendry and Espen Baardsen. The fund will complement the group’s existing Agriculture fund which was launched in June last year and is up 35% since inception and 18% so far this year. CIO Hugh Hendry said: “We’ve been using the opportunities presented by recent weak markets to add to positions in commodities and commodity-related equities across our fund range.”
