group slashes final bonus on unitised with-profits policies in response to depressed markets
The Prudential has reduced its final bonus rates on its unitised with-profits policies with effect from 3 December. The move affects its with-profits funds as well as a number of other types of savings linked to its with-profits business. At the same time the Pru has announced a 2% special offer allocation enhancement to all new Prudence Bond applications. The Pru said its cash-in or maturity values will reduce by around 7%, as was first reported on Investment Week's online sister publication. Despite the drop, annual bonus rates remain unchanged.
