Donald Ness, joint investment manager of the £1.2bn Scottish Investment Trust (SIT), with Ian McLeish, will retire at the end of March this year. Ness, in conjunction with McLeish, is directly responsible to the board of the trust for all the aspects of the day-to-day management of the fund. John Kennedy, who joined the company eight years ago, will step up from his position as assistant manager with responsibility for the company's US portfolio, into the role as joint manager with McLeish.
