Former Gartmore smaller companies manager Frank Manduca has joined UBS Global Asset Management as head of UK small caps. Graham Kane, managing director and head of retail at the group, said based on Manduca's expertise and long-term track record in the area, the group is very likely to launch a UK small-cap fund at some point in the near future. Manduca resigned from Gartmore in March after 12 years with the group, following a period of underperformance relative to his smaller companies peer group.
