James Chu, director of structured products at HSBC Asset Management, is to leave the group to move to American Express, where he will be working on private client business. HSBC said it has gradually been migrating its structured product manufacturing to French subsidiary Sinopia and Chu's role in this capacity has therefore disappeared. Sinopia will now be running and marketing the group's products, headed up by Michael Borkan.
