Gartmore is finally ready to launch its European Absolute Return fund this month, having shelved the proposition at the last minute in October. The vehicle, which will be run by Roger Guy and Guillaume Rambourg, is slated for launch in January alongside an offshore version to sit within its Luxembourg Sicav. Head of UK retail at the group Richard Pursglove says: "We have seen some normality returning over the past couple of months relative to the rest of last year and volatility has significantly reduced.
