Wealth managers favouring emerging markets for clients

Research shows EM and global equities top asset classes

Emerging markets look set to be the leading asset class for clients of wealth managers over the next three years. According to research from Martin Currie, in which it interviews leading multi- and wealth managers, the sector tops the poll, favoured by 30% of respondents. Global equities are a close second with 29%, followed by investment grade bonds at 27%. Hedge strategies also feature among the favourites, placed joint fourth with index-linked bonds.
