Fidelity International has appointed Philip Warland head of public policy to lead the group's contact with UK and EU policy makers.
He will also manage the company’s contacts with stakeholders regarding financial services policy in all parts of Europe where the company operates. Warland has 20 years of experience at the Bank of England, and later became the director general of the Association of Unit Trusts and Investment Funds (AUTIF), the fore-runner of the Investment Management Association (IMA). He later became a senior adviser in the investment management practice of PriceWaterhouse Coopers in London and Brussels.
