RWC US Absolute Alpha fund to launch in October

RWC Partners is launching its US Absolute Alpha fund in October, pending regulatory approval.

As revealed by Investment Week in June, the Ucits III long/short Sicav is to be managed by former Threadneedle manager Mike Corcell. The vehicle aims to generate uncorrelated returns to market direction and will be added to RWC's existing £2bn range of Luxembourg-domiciled funds. Corcell will be based in London. RWC chief executive Peter Harrison says: "UCITS III provides the perfect platform for these funds and we are delighted that Mike's skills can now be offered to a much wider audience than just the traditional buyers of hedge funds."
