Brown Shipley announces Solus shakeup

Brown Shipley is re-launching its £18m MultiManager Balanced fund as an income vehicle as part of an overhaul of its Solus Oeic range.

CIO Peter Botham will assume the role of lead manager of the new MultiManager Income fund with current manager Michael Clarkson providing assistance. Clarkson will continue to control the Multi-Manager Growth and MultiManager International funds. The Oeic umbrella encompassing the trio of multi-manager funds will adopt Ucits III powers, which the new income vehicle will utilise. "Balanced funds really went out of fashion at the start of the decade," says Botham. "Everyone wants to be more focused now and income is where the market is."
