Gartmore appoints head of intermediary sales

Gartmore has appointed Warren Shiels to the newly created position of head of intermediary sales.

Shiels, who joined Gartmore in August 2000, will be responsible for the distribution of Gartmore’s funds to IFAs, fund platforms and life companies. He reports to Richard Pursglove, head of UK retail. Pursglove says: “We have successfully launched three new funds this year which have already attracted significant assets and have announced a number of key new fund manager appointments. "Warren has been key to the positive momentum achieved so far this year and will be instrumental in building on this success in his new role.” Gartmore is also looking to recruit two new account dire...
