S&P has given new ‘AAA' ratings to Newton's Real Return and Balanced funds, which are both managed by Iain Stewart.
Newton Real Return, which sits in the IMA Absolute Return sector, was the previously named Newton Absolute Intrepid fund. The fund is up 4.7% over the year to 20 July, against an average 6.9% increase for the sector, according to Morningstar. Newton Balanced is up 0.8% over the year, compared to an average sector decline of 9.2%.
