Baring Asset Management has appointed Kommera Chakradhar Reddy as head of India equities, with a view to launching further funds in the region.
Reddy, who will be based in London, reports into Barings' head of global emerging markets James Syme and will be responsible for managing the firm's exposure to Indian equities across its range of retail and institutional emerging market funds. He has over 15 years' investment experience, having previously been CIO of ABN Amro Mumbai, overseeing 15 investment funds with a total AUM of $2.75bn.
