Cheyne Capital Management has today launched a Dublin-domiciled Ucits III fund, investing in convertibles.
The Cheyne Select Convertibles fund is the first to be brought to market under the group's Select Ucits fund PLC umbrella. The asset class was chosen to appeal to equity and fixed interest investors, for its ability to offer income and capital appreciation. "Convertible bonds provide an appealing combination of upside potential and downside protection and are a compelling asset class for diversification in any asset allocation model," says Cheyne CIO Chris Goekjian.
