Bryan Collings increased exposure to Russia, Brazil and Indonesia in Hexam Global Emerging Markets during August, while retaining an overweight to China.
Despite moving defensive through the summer, Collings says he felt comfortable increasing the weighting to Brazil and Russia because there are now clear signs of improvement in demand and liquidity across the world. The portfolio now has a 3.4% overweight to Brazil versus the MSCI Emerging Markets index and the country constitutes 18.3% of the fund. China remains the portfolio's highest exposure, at 22.9%.
