HSBC Private Bank has appointed Willem Sels as head of its fixed income strategy for its UK Private Bank.
Reporting to head of global investment strategy Fredrik Nerbrand, Sels will be responsible for building bond-focused client solutions, both in sovereign and credit markets. Sels has over 12 years of fixed income experience, having spent seven years at Goldman Sachs International and most recently at Dresdner Kleinwort. At Dresdner Kleinwort, he was responsible for the firm's call on the direction of all vanilla markets - including cash bonds, loans, index-linked, high yield and investment grade.
