GAM closes Hollyman's funds

GAM is closing its European Systematic Value & Income fund today ahead of manager Ross Hollyman's move to Liontrust at the start of next year.

Hollyman’s other funds, Star European Systematic Value, Star Absolute EuroSystematic, Star UK Dynamic Equity, EuroSystematic Value Hedge and UK Equity Hedge, closed in July and August. “Ross Hollyman's funds are either closed or in the process of closing given he is leaving and the funds were small,” a GAM spokesperson says. Over one year to 14 August, European Systematic Value & Income returned 2.8% against the 0.5% fall in the IMA Europe Excluding UK sector. Hollyman’s three-strong team join Liontrust next month.
