HSBC Ucits AdvantEdge fund of hedge funds is due to launch at the end of November and will be available for investment from both retail and institutional investors.
The fund offers weekly liquidity and will be managed by HSBC Alternative Investments (HAIL). It meets also strict rules on leverage, counterparty risk and instruments traded. The fund will combine a number of core strategies expected to benefit from opportunities created by the credit crunch: discretionary macro, equity market neutral, managed futures, and equity long/short.
