Insight alters UK Corporate Bond to utilise Ucits powers

Insight plans to change the investment objective and policy of its UK Corporate Bond fund, with the vehicle set to utilise the full Ucits III powers to gain wider appeal in the market.

Managed by Peter Bentley, Insight says the £53.4m portfolio will change its name to the Sterling Corporate Bond fund and now focus on generating a total return, as well as its current income objective. The group says the use of wider investment powers will help more efficiently manage key risks to the fund - including interest rates movements and credit risk. Insight believes the changes will create a fund with greater potential to attract new assets, thereby benefiting investors through lower expenses and increasingly efficient trading.
