JPMorgan Emerging Markets Alpha Plus fund manager Christopher Morrell is set to leave the group.
Morrell, who also manages the JPM Ultra Global Emerging Markets fund, will be replaced by Ashraf el Ansary. He will assume full responsibility for the fund with immediate effect. Emerging market equity team member el Ansary has worked alongside Morrell for over a year managing the JPMorgan Portfolio Strategies Funds' Emerging Markets Alpha Plus Long-Short fund. He will manage both funds going forward. OBSR has suspended its rating of Emerging Markets Alpha Plus fund and says it will meet with el Ansary at the earliest opportunity to discuss his plans for the fund going forward.
