JO Hambro Investment Management is looking to market its absolute return portfolio to fund of hedge fund providers and believes it can capitalise on a lack of choice in the market.
The firm believes there is a shortage of quality products for funds of hedge funds to choose from under the Uctis III framework and is confident its Dublin-domiciled Waverton UK Absolute Oeic will prove a success in the space. The firm is currently in talks with fund of fund managers and databases to discuss how to position the £77.3m vehicle. Managers Russell Wallis and Simon Wilson use a bottom-up approach and invest in large cap FTSE 100 companies.
