SVM founder Colin McLean has taken over the group's Skandia UK Best Ideas mandate following the departure of Hector Kilpatrick earlier this month.
McLean will now run 17% of Skandia's long-only £137m UK Best Ideas fund, as well as the mandate he already managed in Skandia UK Strategic Best Ideas. Margaret Lawson, an investment director at SVM, will also have input into the way the mandates are run. Skandia says there have been no changes to the weightings in the funds following the move.
