The overwhelming majority of UK fund managers are hoping for a Conservative victory in today's General Election, believing a David Cameron-led Government would be best for the stock market.
A Chelsea Financial Services survey of 20 top UK fund groups found 95% of managers think a Tory victory would be the best outcome for investors, while only one respondent believed a hung parliament would be the most favourable outcome. While the managers would like to see Cameron occupy Number 10 Downing St, only 50% expect the Conservatives to win outright.
